About Michael

Michael A. Sulem, LL.M.

Michael founded AiMS Advisory after more than 12 years in-house with a vertically integrated private equity real estate developer, where he led the U.S. legal function. His experience spans the full life of a real estate investment, from acquisition and financing through development, operations, and sale.

Working inside a development business meant staying involved as decisions moved from a business plan into negotiations, closing, construction, leasing, and ongoing ownership. Michael understands the demands on the people responsible for both the investment and its execution.

He founded AiMS to bring that experience to lean development teams that need senior legal involvement without a full-time in-house legal function. Clients work directly with Michael, with the scope built around their business and the matters in front of them.

  • Lead counsel for more than $2 billion in commercial real estate transactions.
  • Led the U.S. legal function for a real estate platform with more than $6 billion in assets under management.
  • Negotiated more than 75 anchor consents and amendments to reciprocal easement agreements.

J.D., cum laude, and LL.M. in Real Property Development, University of Miami School of Law. Admitted to The Florida Bar. Based in West Palm Beach, Florida.
